Terrorism is a serious thing at any time. For many people, its something they face every day.
The Workplace Terrorist: A Passport to Keep You from Becoming a Workplace Hostage. Take the Sims’ Flight
Try thinking of dealing with negative people as dealing with a terrorist. As over exaggerated as this may sound, the adverse effects a negative person can have on our lives can cause lifelong damage.
In The Workplace Terrorist: The Passport to Keep You from Becoming a Workplace Hostage. Take the Sims Flight, author Lucy Sims helps you find excitement in your job and your life. Sims took the experiences of catastrophic events and using the metaphor of an airplane flight, developed a motivational tool to show what can happen if we allow terrorism in our workplaces or lives. We dont think much about how we are affected by the negative actions of others and how this is a type of terrorism. The highs and lows of an airplane flight bring home how frightening these experiences can be.
No matter what you do in life, the principles found in The Workplace Terrorist: The Passport to Keep You from Becoming a Workplace Hostage. Take the Sims Flight can be applied. Think of terrorism as something to get rid of and something to never be around you, your workplace, your home, and so on. How you view negative people will change when you understand how they can affect your everyday life. And perhaps most important, youll learn how not to be a workplace terrorist.

I am a speaker and owner of the company “Sims’ Flight”. I am simply someone who likes seeing people motivated about life in general but certainly our jobs. I have been in the work force for decades and I’ve seen how so many people go to work and hate their jobs. In the climate that we live in today, this is easily understood. However, my goal is to encourage people to get excited about life and that includes the job they go to daily. We have to make an effort to change our own narrative by changing our mines. If I have to work daily regardless, then it makes since for me to be positive about the job. This doesn’t mean that we have to settle and be stuck in a job we don’t like but until things change, we’ll have to continue. In this case, why not get excited each time we go to work because this will propel our job or our day into a new territory. There is no failure in the process of changing your mine to a more positive place.
Maybe it is just about your life in general and not necessarily your job. My Passport to Sims’ Flight will help anyone who’s determined to make a change, change. This is not rocket science but common sense, right? If we change our attitude to a more positive one the results will be monumental!
I started thinking about public speaking a while ago but didn’t seek to pursue it until 2011. I have worked with people most of my adult life. At the time I was thinking about this I was working in corporate America with some unhappy people. I certainly understood their plight, however, it seemed they were determined to drag me into this mindset and I made myself hold on to positivity and reach out to my colleagues as well. At the time it seemed that I wasn’t successful in helping them but I never gave up on helping people. I never intended to be an author but I realized that a book would be a vehicle to aid people by way of reference, my book.
My goal is to continue to motivate people whenever and where ever I can. I would hope that people will be drawn to my platform after reading my book and reach out to me for other resources.
I’m an average grandma who wants the next generation to get motivated about life!
To have an opportunity to speak more and more to people in the workplace and in private on ways to stay positive, daily.
After my presentations or someone having read my book, seeing people changing attitudes and becoming more positive especially in the workplace thereby encouraging growth in businesses and changing our employment situations to less unemployed people.
While I’m not a known published author, I give a perspective from just an average grandma not prompted by the lure of book sales but the desire to really reach people and better the society we all live in one day at a time.
TARGET AUDIENCE
ALL! Because I’m interested in encouraging people in the workplace, I’d like to talk to managers in restaurants, especially since there is a lack of good customer service. I think because so many people are dismayed at their situation. I’d also like to reach out to people in the corporate arena to help develop cohesiveness in that workplace. I’d like to reach out to educators because they touch our youths daily and if they are positive then the affect on our society is surmountable! Right out of the gate the teachers will help to develop positive thinking in their students and this change will change our world.!!
