Christian: Is your faith in CRISIS? Here’s help in Job’s Choice.
Charlie (80) and Terry Liebert (75) lost their only son to suicide at the age of 51. Believers since their early 30s, together faced the greatest crisis of their lives. Charlie, being a prolific author, immediately wrote a book with Terry about the excessive grief they suffered because of the unexpected suicide of an Atheist son. Suicide’s Aftermath: Three Griefs More! Christian Couple’s Compounded Grief for a Loved One’s Suicide. After publishing this book, Charlie realized that Christians face many life events that try their faith, so he produced a second book for Christians in CRISIS. After Disaster, Job’s Choice! Run FROM God or Run TO God. Drawn from the book of Job in the Bible, the deaths of Job’s ten children and the loss of all his wealth challenge Job’s faith. As a final challenge, he loses his health. Job, covered with boils, sits on a pile of ashes and scrapes his body with a piece of broken pottery. He’s lost everything he valued and faces the decision to flee to God or flee from God.
Here, Charlie goes further in the personal decision process involved in your crisis of faith. Soon after finishing the Suicide book with Terry, he recognized that many circumstances, besides death, can cause a crisis of faith: divorce, broken relationships, family conflict, financial failure, emotional collapse, mental breakdown, the list goes on and on. I know a couple who went to church with us for many years who disavowed Christ and professed Atheism after the overdose death of their adopted son.
I hope this book helps Christians understand the crossroads of Job’s choice and shows the only rational decision for a believer is to flee TO God in time of trial. Read Job’s Choice to help your faith in crisis! Available on Amazon as an eBook, paperback, or hardcover.
