I’ve been writing since I was 11 and haven’t looked back. I have done about every kind of writing: advertising, PR, magazine and website articles, etc. I have edited books for other authors as well as writing my own. Capitalism Killed the Middle Class: 25 ways the System is Rigged Against You began as a memoir but quickly became a cautionary tale about the challenges facing workers and the middle class. I’m now turning that book into an audiobook. I also have created a study guide to accompany each chapter. I have two sequels planned: ReBuilding Union and Capitalism Kills: the Global Edition. You Will Forever Be My Always is my COVID novel. Forced into seclusion, I came to my office every day to research my prognosis on Parkinson’s Disease. I was diagnosed in 2013 and I wanted to know what to expect in the future. In the meantime, I was published in the 2020 anthology of California’s Best Emerging Poets and had two screenplays reach quarterfinalist in the NYC International Screenplay Awards. I’m currently working on Leonard Comes Home, another look at the injustice done to Native American Leonard Peltier, framed for murdering two FBI agents in 1975. I’m also almost done with Worst Case Scenario: Election Night, a satirical thriller that poses the question: What if Trump had refused to step down and had declared martial law? Spoiler alert: Native Americans decide it’s time to take their country back. After finishing the above four books, I have plans for a book of short stories and a seven-book fantasy series called The Swords of San Simeon.

Whether it’s “no matter how bad you’ve got it, somebody’s always got it worse,” or “Let’s make it better for the working class,” a sense of gratitude is reflected in my treatment of others.

I list my credentials thusly: activist, writer, author though one podcast called me a humorist, catapulting me into Mark Twain territory. I want to bring humor and joy in my day-to-day contacts.

I see the world as a mirror. If I am projecting beauty and positivity, I should see that reflected. My vision is the ultimate goal, my final destination, and I want that vision to be shared and passed along. The world, despite testimonials to the contrary, is a beautiful place full of wonder and grace.

I have always explored different styles of writing, never turning down a style I’ve never used before. My voice as a writer has, over the years of trying different styles, matured and revealed a distinctive writing voice filled with insight and humor. I know there are more ways to attract an individual reader and no one approach will resonate with all of them.

“Thank you for writing your book. I hope a lot of leaders read it. I hope they read it and take some of your ideas and thoughts and conversations in the book to heart because everything makes sense. ”
